GSL has received official reports that the maintenance has been completed and the Indigo cable system has been stable for 48 hours.

GSL will continue to monitor, and advise if required.

Update
GSL has received an update regarding the Indigo West cable system.

The initial shunt fault repair has been completed, however during the testing phase another fault has been detected roughly 8.5km from the initial shunt fault location. The repair team is moving into position to begin repairs and will provide updates as they progress.

The repairs window has been extended by 5 days to 2023/06/14.

Maintenance on the Indigo West cable system is still on-going. All traffic will continue to re-route via alternative paths until it has resolved.

The consortium members for Indigo West (Perth to Singapore) have scheduled a maintenance period to repair a shunt fault on the subsea cable.

During this time customers with unprotected ethernet circuits will experience an outage.
IP transit services will reroute via alternative paths.

Due to the nature and location of the subsea work required, the start time and exact duration of the repair is subject to change as it will depend on prevailing conditions and any unforeseen circumstances. We will provide updates on the progress of this maintenance.
